Taapsee Pannu starrer Thappad released on Friday. Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, their latest collaboration is receiving praise from all sectors. Even industry celebrities are rallying behind them and applauding their work! After Ayushmann Khurrana, Javed Akhtar is among the Bollywood celebrities who said that the film is a milestone in Indian cinema.

After watching Thappad, Javed Akhtar took to Twitter to praise the film. He wrote, "Today I saw one of the most sensitive , sensible and socially relevant film of recent times Thappad is an extremely well told and well performed movie . My congratulations to the writers director performers and the whole crew for this Mile stone of Indian cinema."

Overwhelmed by the praise received from the critically acclaimed scriptwriter and lyricist, Taapsee Pannu responded to him and said, "Ok this is a mic drop moment for us! Calling it a day on this note coz it just doesn’t get better!!!! #Thappad."

Anubhav Sinha, too, had an exciting response to share. He wrote,“Javed Akhtar called. Complimented about writing. I am retiring!!! #THAPPAD.” He further wrote, “Zindabad Sir. Thank you. Thank you. Thank You.”

Ayushmann Khurrana, who has worked with Anubhav Sinha in Article 15, also praised the film on Thursday. He said, “#Thappad is the most important film of our generation. @anubhavsinha sir take a bow.
