3 Years of Simmba: Ranveer Singh reacts to being called the next perfectionist of Bollywood- “There is no such thing as perfection”

It has been three years since filmmaker Rohit Shetty introduced the second cop- Simmba- from his cop universe. Starring Ranveer Singh as Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao, the film was a massive hit at the box office just like Shetty’s previous cop films - Singham and Singham 2. Simmba recently returned on screen with the film Sooryavanshi along with Akshay Kumar (Sooryavanshi) and Ajay Devgn (Singham).

3 Years of Simmba: Ranveer Singh reacts to being called the next perfectionist of Bollywood- “There is no such thing as perfection”

In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer Singh was responding to fan questions and comments. A fan lauding Ranveer’s perfection to his craft asked, “Historical characters, a fearless cop, and next a rapper! Are we having the next Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood in making?”

Responding to the question, Ranveer said, “That's very kind of you to say, Yes, I go about my craft very, very meticulously, but I believe there is no such thing as perfection. It is a mirage of a concept in itself. I think you try your best to create something that's wholesome. But I don't know if there's any such thing as perfection. You can do your best. You can just try and be honest in creating these characters. I hope that I've been able to do it so far. I try and continue to do it as much as possible.”

“To create distinctive characters, in my estimation, should be the endeavour of every actor. I'll speak for myself to say that from the very beginning of my career, I've endeavoured to create distinctive characters because I'm trying to be the best actor I can possibly be. To me, the best actors are the versatile actors, the ones who are able to have that chameleon-like quality, where they're able to be effective as different characters. So yeah, that's always been my endeavour, and I have managed to do it so far because that's the kind of feedback I'm getting. People are recognizing and echoing and validating that endeavour of mine. I've always, like I said, tried to showcase the versatility of my repertoire. And people recognizing that and echoing that is a huge validation. For me. It's fulfillment for the work that I put in, and I hope to continue that,” he added.
