Superstar Madhuri Dixit who has enthralled the audience with her impeccable performances on the big screen is all set to enter the world of digital with the Netflix original web series The Fame Game. In the series, she plays superstar Anamika Anand. She goes missing and the investigation that follows unearths several dark secrets exposing the reality behind the superstar life. Hours before the release of the show on Friday, The Fame Game writer Sri Rao shared how the journey of the series started and how he wrote it specifically for Madhuri Dixit.

"In a few short hours, the world will meet Anamika Anand, the character I created for Madhuri Dixit, in the series I created for Madhuri Dixit. My intention was to give her a platform that would do justice to her talent as an actress, and introduce her to global audiences to be dazzled by her star power," he wrote in a post he shared on his Instagram feed.

"But this story began many years ago, all the way back in 2016 when I called Madhuri Dixit and asked if I could create a show for her. She graciously said yes and although it's taken us a while to get here, she never for a moment has been anything other than warm and humble and relentlessly hard-working," he further said.

He ended the note by thanking the superstar. "Thank you, Madhuri, for going on this journey with me. Now let's invite the world to play The Fame Game with us," he concluded.

The series directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli also brings together a brilliant ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, Muskkaan Jaferi, Lakshvir Saran, and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles.
