Luxury Couture Label Falguni Shane Peacock closed day 5 of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week with a scintillating showcase at the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale. The celebrated, international couturiers showcased a mesmerizing collection ‘Earthbound’ inspired by Lakmé’s beauty trend statement #ExploreMore. The showcase featured brand ambassador Ananya Panday as the showstopper and marked the launch of the Lakmé Absolute Explore Eye Collection.

The ’Earthbound’ collection embraced a contemporary colour palette that provided a futuristic edge aligning with the metallic hues of the Lakmé Absolute Explore Eye Collection. Set in the 80's, the collection narrated the story of time travel to the Earth – a homecoming. The runway saw a splash of big and bold shoulders, bright colours, and plenty of rock chic, edgy, unconventionally futuristic outfits, and statement styles. The amalgamation of real with virtual resulted in over accentuated, highly stylized silhouettes with splashes of crystals, dome shaped diamanté's, abstract sequins, and faceted beads mixed with the unmistakable rock chic elements. The collection reimagined bodysuits and short bodycon dresses with striking cutouts, and unique hemlines–giving it a modern, glamourous homage to futuristic and space age.

The flamboyant shades of spirited orange, invincible purple and bold emerald gave an unhitched and break away mood, together reflecting sensibilities of Lakmé and Falguni Shane Peacock. The vibrant azure and darling blue, alluring silver, tough metal, and fearless browns complemented the space streak of the edgy looks from the collection.The signature elements of Falguni Shane Peacock - feathers, sequins, and prints that the collection featured, were combined with on-fleek silhouettes and vivid colors. The styling encapsulated vibrant eye makeup, from Lakmé’s Explore Eye Collection comprising liquid eye shadows and gel-based liners in ten striking shades. In sync with the flamboyant designs by Falguni Shane Peacock, the beauty collection by Lakmécreated the ultimate fusion of glitz and glamour.

Ananya Panday looked mesmerizing in the dramatic yet structured runway outfit in bright pink.Ananya wore a short dress with a variety of lavender tones. The strapless dress featured a plunging sweetheart neckline, an asymmetrical mini-length hemline, dazzling geometric pattern decorations, and a floor-sweeping long train with sparkling pink diamantes on the back. With strappy high heels, stacked gold bracelets with matching charms, and metallic wine-colored nail polish, Ananya amplified the glamorous factor of her ensemble. She finalised her glam options with winged eyeliner, shimmering eye shadow, mascara-adorned eyelashes, glossy mauve lip colour, luminous complexion, on-fleek brows, side-parted, wavy open locks, and shining highlighter.
