EXCLUSIVE: Kartik Aaryan reveals what his favourite luxury car is: ‘I now have a Lamborghini’

“My favourite car is McLaren.” When pointed his long journey, the actor with a smile admits, “From a third-hand car to McLaren, to supercars, yeah it’s been a journey. I now have a Lamborghini.”

Kartik Aaryan has come a long way from not having a car when he came to the industry to owning some of the expensive cars right now.  The actor, who is now one of the leading stars of Bollywood, earlier also revealed that despite the glowing success of his debut film Pyaar Ka Punchnama, he didn’t own a car until quite later in his career.

Kartik said, “When I first came to the industry, I didn’t have any car. The first car that I bought was after a couple of film — a third-hand car that I got for around Rs 60,000. I got it with great difficulty.”

“There was a problem with the car door. I took it specifically because I was still taking an auto to the red carpet, or going on a bike, or getting a lift from people. So, this car, the door didn’t open. I didn’t know what set-up that was, I couldn’t open it. There was also a leakage when it rained on the driver’s seat, but I got used to it.” Kartik Aaryan has often spoken about how he came to Mumbai on the pretext of studies, while he actually wanted to act.

Kartik, who has now been the industry for just over a decade, is now the proud owner of India's first McLaren GT. The car, worth Rs 4.7 crore (ex-showroom), was gifted to him by producer and T-Series chairperson Bhushan Kumar following the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Moreover, in April this year, Kartik bought himself a Lamborghini Urus, worth Rs 4.5 crore.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan next has Shehzada, Captain India, Freddy, and Sajid Nadiadwala's untitled project. He has also signed another film with Sajid Nadiadwala which will be helmed by Kabir Khan.
