Ever since Alia Bhatt announced her new film Darlings, fans can’t keep calm and rightfully so, as they have been longing to see her on the big screen. This film will not only see her as an actress, but will mark her debut as a producer. Darlings come with a great ensemble including Alia, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Matthew. In fact, the Darlings teaser had piqued the audience's interest. Darlings' long-awaited trailer was released yesterday, and it was well worth the wait! At a Mumbai event, stars Shefali Shah, Alia Bhatt, and Vijay Varma launched the impressive trailer while also turning heads with their fashionable choices.

Alia wore a loose yellow dress to the trailer launch, and she subsequently appeared in the city wearing a black floral sharara, which caught attention yet again. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress was seen sporting a peplum kurti in black with vibrant flower motifs all over it. Her short kurti was embellished with a pretty border and a stunning V neckline. She completed her traditional look by adding a sheer black dupatta and a pair of matching printed sharara. Her dress, which is priced at Rs. 62,800, comes from the racks of Ridhi Mehra.

Alia completed her ethnic look with a set of cascading silver earrings and oxidised rings. She accessorised her appearance with a delicate black bindi. Alia wore her hair loose and kept minimal make-up, and her pregnancy glow did the rest. She accented her ensemble with black embellished flats.

For the unversed, Alia is expecting her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor. Last month, she revealed her pregnancy with a photo of herself and Ranbir Kapoor taken inside a hospital and on the work front, Darlings will be releasing on August 5 on Netflix. Besides, Alia is also working on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh which is expected to release next year. She will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s much-anticipated fantasy drama Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni which is will be hitting the screens on September 9 this year.
