Imlie lead cast Sumbhul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan announce their exit from their high TRP rated show

Sumbhul Touqeer and Fahmaan Khan won many hearts with their chemistry onscreen. They play the lead roles of Imlie and Aryan in the ongoing show Imlie on Star Plus. The prime Indian drama continues to be one of the highest TRP rated shows as the show has managed to keep its audience entertained with its twists and plots. And now in a step to take its popularity to the next level, the makers are planning to a massive leap in the show, which has resulted in the exit of these lead actors.

While reports about their exit have been doing the rounds for quite some time, Fahmaan Khan took to social media to confirm it. In a video shared by the actor on Instagram, he said, “We know that you have been hearing a lot of rumours on Instagram and social media. We thought you should know the truth from us and you deserve to know it. We want to say that the news is true.  The makers have decided to take a generation leap in the show and it is good. It is a mutual understanding between us and the makers. They have spoken to us about it. We did not want to announce before any confirmation.”

Bidding adieu, he also spoke about how special the journey of Imlie has been for him. He also mentioned that it’s even more special for Sumbhul who played the titular character and considering that she had a longer journey compared to him. “Don’t be disappointed. Everything that is great has to come to an end at some point. Nothing lasts forever. Change is forever,” he added. Sumbhul too spoke in the video crediting her fame and success to the show. The actors requested their fans to extend their support and love to the show, concluding that the characters may change but the makers won’t.

The news comes as a surprise to many fans who dropped in comments expressing their sadness over the exit of the actors. Imlie airs on Star Plus from Monday to Saturday at 8:30pm. The show also featured Gashmeer Mahajani and Mayuri Deshmukh in pivotal roles.
