Janhvi Kapoor reflects on journey of dealing with Sridevi's death during Dhadak shoot; calls it “the biggest war” of her life

Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who will soon be seen in the upcoming film Bawaal, recently opened up about the "biggest war" of her life. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress spoke about losing her mother, Sridevi, in 2018. Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that during the same time, Janhvi was shooting for her debut film, Dhadak.

"I think definitely when I lost mom," Kapoor said. She further added, "I was shooting for Dhadak, and dealing with her loss was quite tough, and also somehow finding the will to keep working but also finding a way to deal with all of these things happening in our lives was tough. Figuring that out was definitely the biggest war in my life."

Coming back to Kapoor's upcoming film, Bawaal is set against the backdrop of World War II, and the film's tagline reads, "Every love story has its war." In the film, Kapoor plays Nisha, a newly-wed wife who is forced to embark on a journey to Europe with her husband, Ajay Dixit (played by Varun Dhawan).

The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in collaboration with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari's Earthsky Pictures. It will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India on July 21.
