South actor Mansoor Ali Khan reveals about the time when he was paid Rs. 4 lakhs but Thalapathy Vijay was paid Rs. 2 lakhs

While he wooed audiences last year with the quintessential entertainer Varisu, this time around fans are curious to see him in Leo since it brings him together with Lokesh Kanagaraj once again after Master. Interestingly, this is also the film where we will see Vijay reunite with some of his old co-stars including actress Trisha Krishnan and villain Mansoor Ali Khan. For the unversed, Mansoor has portrayed the antagonist characters in several Tamil films from the 90s after he made a breakthrough with the Vijaykanth starrer Captain Prabhakaran.

Now that the actor will also be seen in Leo, Mansoor opened up about reuniting with Vijay, with whom he has shared screen space in several films including the latter’s debut Naalaiya Theerapu (1992). Recalling the time when Vijay had kicked off his career, Mansoor said, “To be frank, back then for one film I was paid Rs 4 lakhs, and Vijay was paid only 2 lakhs. He has come from that stage because of his effort. He further went on to talk about the sincerity and honesty that Vijay has had towards his work, as he added, “For him, it’s all cinema. He shoots 40 takes for a dance step. If it had been me, I would dance twice and would have left saying that’s all I can do. But Vijay is spending so much time on a single shot. They have sculpted Leo scene by scene.”

Furthermore, in the same interview, Mansoor also gave us a glimpse about Anurag Kashyap’s role in the movie wherein it is revealed that the filmmaker-actor will be appearing between gun shots.

Mansoor Ali Khan and Thalapathy Vijay has acted in several films together including Sendhorapandi, Minsara Kanna, Deva, among others.
