Rajveer Deol and Avnish Barjatya share heart-warming stories from the sets of Dono

Rajveer Deol and Paloma will be making their debut with Dono directed by debutant Avnish Barjatya and the trailer of the film was launched with much fanfare in Mumbai. Dono features a quintessential Rajshri set and it became a memorable and overwhelming experience for the Rajveer and Avnish. As they are foraying into Bollywood, the lads shared how their respective families visited the sets of the film during its shoot on the most challenging days and continued to be their ultimate support system!

Sharing about Sooraj Barjatya’s support, Avnish said, “Dad being there on set was the greatest strength for all of us and especially for me. In the most stressful of shoots, his reassuring presence meant the world to us.  His advice on the smallest of things can make the biggest of differences. He’s also the greatest person to bounce ideas with. I was so lucky to have him there as a pillar of support throughout the film.”

Talking about Sunny Deol’s presence on the set, Rajveer added, “Papa was on set with the family on the very first day, in fact, what made my day one on Dono so special was that he gave a clap for my very first shot. That will be my most cherished memory from this film always. Bade Papa (Dharmendraji) also came to the set, and he came on a day when I was very nervous. I was shooting my most difficult scene that comes before the interval, and he gave me surprise when he just walked in on the set unannounced, him being there gave me great confidence.”

Dono is expected to be Rajshri Productions’ celebration film on their 76th year of establishment. The production house will see the family’s fourth generation takes the baton with Avnish Barjatya making his debut along with fresh faces Rajveer Deol and Paloma, daughter of Poonam Dhillon.

Directed by Avnish S. Barjatya and produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, late Rajkumar Barjatya, and Ajit Kumar Barjatya with creative production led by Sooraj R. Barjatya, Dono will release on October 5.
