Mahira Khan and Salim Karim dance their hearts out at the mehendi ceremony; her son Azlan steals the spotlight, watch video

Popular Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, known for her work in Urdu dramas and movies, tied the knot with her longtime businessman beau Salim Karim towards the end of September. The actress was in a relationship with Karim for a little over five years. Salim Karim is the CEO of the Pakistani start-up Simpaisa. Following her wedding, the actress has been sharing photos and videos from pre-wedding festivities, which saw the presence of her family, and close friends. And all the rituals took place at the Bhurban which is a hill station in Punjab province, Pakistan.

For her mehendi and sangeet ceremony, Mahira Khan wore a purple kurta embellished with elaborate golden embroidery. It had tassels which were elegantly hanging from her neckline giving her outfit a charming touch. She wore a golden churidar paired with an orange dupatta and fine gotta patti embroidery.

In a video shared on her Instagram, Mahira Khan can be seen arriving at the mehendi ceremony with her son Azlan holding the ‘phoolon ka chadar’. Her groom Salim Karim is dressed in all white as the duo enjoy their friends and family’s performances at the ceremony. In the video, Salim kisses Mahira’s hands as he performs with her troupe. She also gives a fantastic performance at the ceremony. Her good friend, actor Sheheryar Munawar can also be spotted at the venue. Mahira wrote in the caption, “Pyaar aur dosti ka Jashan. P.S Can you guess some of the songs?”

She added, “Right before we were heading down.. Asim put a whole string of motias on my arm..just because.. he is Asim and I'm his mahiru.. forever InshAllah.Mehndi.” For the video footage, she used ‘Ghar Nari’ from her movie, Ho Mann Jahaan.

On the work front, Mahira Khan was last seen in The Legend of Maula Jatt with Fawad Khan. In her next, she is working with Fawad again on his production Neelofar. She is currently starring in a mini-series Razia and will next star in a movie with Humayun Saeed.
