Dunki: Shah Rukh Khan reveals qualities he has that Rajkumar Hirani’s previous heroes Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor don’t: “Un teeno ke dimples nahin hai; I have more hair than them”

Shah Rukh Khan, at one point, regularly gave interviews to the press and even answered their queries at events or premieres. The star has stopped doing so in the last few years. He hasn’t given an interview since his last film, Zero (2018). He was a part of the success parties of his recent blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan. But he didn’t take any questions from the media. Hence, the media persons were in for a pleasant surprise when the PR team of Dunki asked them to send questions that they’d like to ask SRK, actress Taapsee Pannu and director Rajkumar Hirani. The trio recorded their replies to media questions and as expected, it has made for a great watch.

Dunki is Rajkumar Hirani’s sixth film. He has earlier worked with Sanjay Dutt in Munna Bhai MBBS (2003) and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), with Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots (2009) and PK (2014) and with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanju (2018). In Dunki, he collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. A journalist asked Hirani about the one quality that Shah Rukh Khan has and which Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor don’t. SRK hijacked his answer, raising a lot of laughs.

Shah Rukh Khan began by quipping, “Only one quality has been asked. Aap 4-5 bol dijiye!” He then told the blockbuster director, “Main aapko prompt kar deta hoon: Good looks, amazing dancing skills and hair which is more than anybody else’s (laughs)! Yeh toh keh hi sakte ho sir ki baal sabse zyada the.”

Rajkumar laughed heartily and then said, “Firstly, it’s the charm.” SRK again interrupted him and reminded him about his dimples, “Un teeno ke dimples nahin hai.”

Now, it was Rajkumar Hirani’s turn to bring the house down. He stated, “Secondly, I used to sleep by 11:00 pm. Shah Rukh taught me that you can stay awake till 5 in the morning! Now I sleep at 6:00 am. Maze se jee raha hoon main!”

SRK controlled his laughter and revealed, “Yeh interview bhi subah 3:30-4:00 baje ho raha hai!”
