Sunny Deol on rekindling friendship with Shah Rukh Khan in 2023, “Time is a healer, I was so happy that everyone turned up at my party”

The biggest box office surprise of the year turned out to be Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2. The film reprised the cast of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma from the first film Gadar, which was a historic blockbuster. People did expect Gadar 2 to become successful but not many would have expected it to amass in excess of Rs. 500 crores in India alone.

Just like the success of the film, its success party too saw unexpected scenes with the attendance of Shah Rukh Khan and his affectionate moments with Sunny Deol. There were reports about differences between them during Darr (1993) and hence the two showing such love for each other came as a pleasant surprise for their fans.

Sunny has now spoken about this moment in an interview with Hindustan Times. When asked whether he is in the mood to let bygones be bygones, the actor said, “It’s not that. Everybody has moved ahead in life and mentally happy, secure with what they have. When they were younger, they weren’t like that. Now everybody is happy and satisfied. Every one of us knows what wrong or right we did. Time is a healer. It’s best to leave it there. I was so happy that everyone turned up at my party.”
