Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back in Mumbai after being a part of the coveted Cannes Film Festival which was held in France. The actress, who is a regular at the red carpet, made a rather brief appearance as the brand ambassador for the brand L’Oreal and has now returned to the city to continue with her other commitments. Recently, she was seen ringing in the birthday of her mother Brinda Rai and she was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
In fact, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is rarely active on social media, even shared glimpses of this celebration on the social media platform. Going by the photos, it was a rather low-key celebration with the mother-daughter duo spending quality time with Brinda Rai, along with a cake cutting ceremony. The actress first shared a solo photo of her mother where about three cakes were lined up on the table along with the photo of Ash’s late father Krishnaraj Rai and she captioned it with a lovely birthday wish saying, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAREST DARLING MOMMYYY-DODDAAA... LOVE YOU ETERNALLY”

In another photo, the entire family including Aishwarya, Aaradhya, Brinda Rai were seen along with Ash also holding the photo of her late father Krishnaraj Rai, showcasing how much they miss him during the celebrations. “Love you Birthday girl, dearest Mommy-Doddaaa”, she wrote about the picture.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan last played the role of Nandini in the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam. The film, featuring an ensemble cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, among others released to rave reviews last year. While it is being said that the actress is currently looking at scripts, she is yet to make an announcement about her upcoming slate.
