Hrithik Roshan’s wordplay with NTR Jr on his birthday; did the co stars bond over food in Mumbai?

Taking to X (formerly twitter) on Monday evening Hrithik Roshan wished his War 2 co-star Jr NTR with a special birthday wish. The message seemed to be an inside joke between the two co-stars which left the fans overwhelmed and a little confused.

In his message, Hrithik hilariously hinted towards the culinary escapades they shared during their shoot in Mumbai. The actor wrote “A very Happy Birthday to you @tarak9999! Here's to another incredible spin around the sun. This time we spin together! I hope by the end of it the master is proud of the student in the kitchen! Haha! Stay healthy. Stay blessed.” The affinity between the two radiated through this playful and genuine wish on social media.

Jr NTR responded with his quick wit and warm demeanour saying, “Hahaha… Thank you so much Sir. Had a congenial War on sets with you. Can’t wait to be back with you and spin around the Sun together… As they say when the student is ready the teacher will appear and you are ready.”

Fans gushed over this interaction between the two and flooded social media with their confused theories about the message.  One fan commented, “Master is proud of the student in the kitchen...#War2,” sharing a meme another user commented, “what’s happening here.” One user wrote, “Student evaru Teacher evaru ra picchekkutundi. (Who’s the student and who’s the teacher, I’m confused)” One decoded, “So You Mean Hrithik Is Student And You Are Teacher?.” This endearing wordplay between the stars has left fans even more eager to witness the magic that will be created by Hrithik and NTR Jr on screen.

While the first part was directed by Siddharth Anand, Ayan Mukherji has taken over as the director of the sequel War 2. The film is produced by Aditiya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. The shooting still is in progress in Mumbai where the pictures of both the actors were leaked during their outdoor shoot. Although, Hrithik and Jr NTR will be seen in a face off, their tweets hint at a student-teacher relationship and otherwise. Hrithik’s role as a RAW agent Kabir remains the same. However, it is yet to be disclosed what role Jr NTR will be seen playing.
