Richa Chadha reveals she ‘will return as a ghost’ in Heeramandi Season 2; fans react

An ensemble cast along with lavish sets – Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar seems to won hearts as it continues to receive love on the streaming platform Netflix. Now, the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who made his web-series debut with this show, has announced the return in the most unique way and has piqued the interest of audiences. While stars, who were a part of the show, Richa Chadha had the funniest reaction to the same and her thoroughly entertained followers also decided to add their two cents on the post.

Readers would be aware that Richa Chadha received immense appreciation for her dance and acting as Lajjo in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. However, her character was short-lived since courtesan Lajjo passes away in the second episode of the first season. While fans would  have been disappointed to not have Chadha as a part of the second season, the actress had a quirky caption adding that she would haunt them in the upcoming episodes. “I am gonna play Lajjo 2.0, the friendly ghost !” she said and also shared a ghost emoji. She also added, “But guys, zinda karo???”

Her fans, who will clearly be missing her in the next season, decided to share some of their ideas about her return on the show. Many were of the opinion that Richa should be returning as the twin sister of Lajjo. “Need lajjoo ki judwa sister emergence pls”, “U were phenomenal in ur short role! Pls come back in season 2 as Lajjo twin sister lol”, “Maybe Lajjo has a lost twin sister”, were some of the comments shared by fans who are eager to see her in the web-series yet again. One of the users even went on to elaborate on how Lajjo should be cast as a ghost and added, “Lajjo has to come back for S2 and haunt Zoravar. We need to see Lajjo's story, so a comeback for sure!!!” Another user added, “Petition to incorporate Lajjo anyway, anyhow, in the script”. With so much love that Richa Chadha received for her role, we wonder if the makers will consider these options to mark her return in Heeramandi Season 2.
