In a recent interview, Dimple Kapadia jokingly attributed Twinkle's frequent ligament tears in her left leg to her outspoken nature. "My mom thinks I have these ligament tears because I twist my foot and put it in my mouth all the time," Twinkle quipped during an interaction with fans on her YouTube channel, Tweak India.

Twinkle's journey from Bollywood to becoming a successful author has been marked by her ability to find humour in everyday life. This talent has not only made her a popular writer but also someone who doesn't shy away from expressing her opinions, both online and offline. However, this has sometimes led to trouble. "I have definitely gotten into trouble. There were times when I would get into Twitter brawls with people and often outside of social media too," she admitted.

After making her debut with the musical romance movie Barsaat in 1995, she appeared in films like Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Baadshah, Joru Ka Ghulam, International Khiladi, and Jodi No.1 before retiring from the industry.

Finding solace in books and writing, Twinkle became a best-selling author with novels like Mrs Funnybones, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, Pyjamas Are Forgiving, and Welcome to Paradise. Her knack for weaving humour into her narratives has resonated with a vast audience, making her one of the most beloved authors in the space.
