Raghav Juyal counters nepotism debate says, “I am not even signed by an agency and...”

Choreographer-actor Raghav Juyal, known for his recent film Kill, opened up about his experience as an "outsider" in the Hindi film industry. In a candid interview with India Today, Raghav shared his thoughts on the ongoing nepotism debate and how he views his journey from Dehradun to Bollywood. "I come from Dehradun, with no connection to industry. I am not even signed by an agency and function completely solo. I can't be going into the complaining mode or else I would be stuck there," he stated.

Focus on hard work and perseverance

Raghav emphasized the importance of hard work and perseverance in his career. He compared his approach to that of sports players who continue to strive despite setbacks. "I focus on continuing to work, no matter if I succeed or fail," he said. His determination and resilience have helped him carve a niche for himself in the competitive world of Bollywood.

A plea to the audience

In the same interview, Raghav urged the audience to support his film, Kill, especially those who criticize filmmakers for casting only star kids. He acknowledged producer Karan Johar, often accused of promoting nepotism, for backing newcomers this time. "It is now important that the audience also supports the movie," Raghav added, highlighting the significance of audience support in the success of films featuring fresh talent.

Positive response to Kill

Raghav shared his excitement about the positive response to Kill, which has been running successfully in theatres thanks to word-of-mouth promotion. He described this success as a "big achievement" for himself and his co-star Lakshya. The film, co-produced by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga, Apoorva Mehta, and Achin Jain, has managed to capture the audience's interest and appreciation.

Raghav's journey and achievements

Raghav Juyal first gained recognition as a finalist in Zee TV's dance reality show, Dance India Dance 3. He later participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and has appeared in notable films such as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Street Dancer 3D. Despite his outsider status, Raghav's talent and hard work have earned him a respected place in the industry.
