Shatrughan Sinha BREAKS SILENCE on Luv’s absence at Sonakshi’s wedding: “I won’t tolerate my family being attacked”

Days after Luv Sinha explained his absence from his sister Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding to Zaheer Iqbal, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has reacted to his son’s reasons for not attending. In a recent interview with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha shared his perspective, while stating that his family has faced far greater crises in the past and denounced the smear campaign targeted at them.

Shatrughan Sinha On His Family Being Attacked Over Sonakshi Zaheer's Wedding Shatrughan Sinha reflected on the situation, stating, “Bahaut bade bade crises dekhe hain humne. Aur yeh toh kuch bhi nahin (We have seen many big crises. This is nothing).” He addressed the alleged family differences and the media attention surrounding the wedding, saying, “There was absolutely nothing to worry about. We were like any ordinary family with a wedding happening. Just why we became a target of so much attention, you will know better than me.”

The veteran actor condemned the negative publicity his family faced, particularly concerning the interfaith nature of the marriage. “We didn’t ask for it. This is not the first time that such a marriage (interfaith) was happening. Our family was subjected to the most vicious smear campaign,” he said. Sinha also issued a warning to those attacking his family, stating, “Let me make this clear. I won’t tolerate my family being attacked.” Shaturghan Sinha Addresses Luv’s Absence From Sonakhsi Zaheer’s Wedding On the topic of his son Luv Sinha’s absence from the wedding, Shatrughan Sinha spoke about the importance of keeping family matters private. “Family matters should stay within the family. Like I said, kaun se parivar mein disagreements nahi hote? (Which family does not have disagreements?) We may disagree and argue on certain issues. But at the end of the day, we are one family. And no one can break us,” he asserted. Luv Sinha’s Explanation For Not Attending Sonakshi Zaheer’s Wedding A few days earlier, Luv Sinha had taken to X (formerly Twitter) to explain his reasons for not attending the wedding. He wrote, “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first.” He continued, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on June 23 at Sonakshi’s residence in Mumbai. The couple had been in a relationship for over seven years before their marriage.
