Sumona Chakravarti REACTS to reports of being “fired” from Kapil Sharma Show: “Show ended in July and after that, we all went ahead”

Sumona Chakravarti, recently back in India after filming Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 in Romania, has addressed rumours surrounding her departure from The Kapil Sharma Show.

Sumona Chakravarti Clears the Air on Rumors Recent reports claimed that Sumona was "fired" from the show and felt "upset" with Kapil Sharma. However, Sumona has firmly denied these claims.

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, she stated, "It is so weird because literally a few days ago, there was a very nice article. I had spoken to a journalist and had said exactly the opposite thing. Then, of course, two days later another publication decided to write an article which said completely the opposite. I had nothing to say because I was also in Romania." Show Ended, New Projects Began Sumona clarified, "I was part of a show which ended in July last year and it’s not like you exited or I resigned or I got fired, the show ended in July and after that, we all went ahead. We took up our individual projects after that. I’m doing Khatron Ke Khiladi. He (Kapil Sharma) did another show. It’s just that there is no bad blood at all. Why would I be upset (with Kapil)? He and I worked before and I went to Romania."

When asked if negative reports affect her, Sumona responded, "Not anymore. Maybe 20 years ago when I started, but now I'm too old for this. Your opinion of me is not my responsibility." Sumona Chakravarti is Excited for Khatron Ke Khiladi While not part of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, Sumona is gearing up for the premiere of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 on July 27th. "Honestly, I surprised myself," she admitted about participating in the adventure reality show. "I'm excited for the show to air and see how I performed."
