Taapsee Pannu explains skipping Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s wedding; prefers "communication" with hosts

The grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant saw a star-studded guest list, but actress Taapsee Pannu was notably absent. In a podcast recorded earlier this year, Taapsee shared her reason for skipping the extravagant ceremony.

Taapsee Pannu Speaks About Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s Wedding In a lighthearted exchange, Taapsee laughingly responded to a question about attending the wedding. In a conversation with RJ Stutee, she clarified, "I don't know them personally," and went on to explain her preference for attending weddings with a more personal connection. "I feel weddings are very personal," she said.

"I am sure there are a lot of friends of theirs, but I prefer to go to a marriage where there is at least some kind of communication between the family and the guest." Anand Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s Wedding Anant and Radhika's wedding on July 12 was a lavish celebration that drew in A-listers from Bollywood and beyond. The guest list boasted names like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and international celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rema, and Luis Fonsi.  While Priyanka Chopra Jonas flew in from the US with her husband Nick Jonas, other prominent Bollywood figures like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Akshay Kumar, and Kangana Ranaut were not present.
