Ahead of Superboys of Malegaon premiere at TIFF, Adarsh Gourav and Vineet Kumar Singh express their thoughts: "Thrilled to see the film being recognized"

Readers may recall that Amazon MGM Studios announced that its original movie Superboys of Malegaon will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this year. Directed by Reema Kagti and produced under the banner of Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby, Superboys of Malegaon is a heartwarming and humorous tale inspired by real events. The film stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora.

Adarsh and Vineet expressed their thoughts ahead of its world premiere at the prestigious festival. Adarsh said, "I am beyond excited to be a part of TIFF with such a special film. Superboys of Malegaon is a project close to my heart as it tells a story of passion, determination, and love for cinema. Working with Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar’s production house has been an incredible journey, and having this film premiere at an esteemed festival like TIFF feels surreal."

He further added, "Nasir's journey as an amateur filmmaker is one of hope and creativity in the face of limitations, and I hope audiences at TIFF will be able to connect with that spirit. This film is truly the most special piece of work I have ever worked on."

Meanwhile, expressing his excitement and pride regarding the film’s international premieres, Singh said, "These platforms are important in highlighting films that offer fresh perspectives and celebrate unique storytelling. Being a part of Superboys of Malegaon has been an enriching experience, and I am thrilled to see the film being recognized on such esteemed stages. I am so looking forward to how audiences will receive this film, which we have made with all our heart."

Superboys of Malegaon is set to have its world premiere at TIFF on September 13, 2024, as part of the festival’s lineup. The Toronto International Film Festival will run from September 5 to September 15, and the film is expected to make waves with its unique and heartening narrative.
