Kareena Kapoor Khan will play a detective in the film, marking a career first. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film is a crime drama, and the recently released teaser has heightened the excitement surrounding it. According to the teaser, Kareena Kapoor's character loses her child and, to cope with the loss, decides to become a detective.

Kareena previously discussed her involvement in the film and said, “I think I loved playing that part because this is the first time I'm playing a detective, and I am a huge crime drama fan." The actress also stated that playing the cop was challenging because the character's anguish made her uncomfortable. She described it as a "career-defining position for me and one of my best characters.”

The Buckingham Murders, in addition to Kareena Kapoor Khan, also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen.

The audience applauded The Buckingham Murders at its global debut at the BFI London Film Festival 2023. In October, it was also shown at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre as part of the 2023 MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
