Ananya Panday admits that she has stuck a picture of Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor in her vanity van mirror

Ananya Panday had an interesting conversation with Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day where she spoke about her career and her life. She also opened up about her favourite actors and films.

Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) is one of her most-loved films and Poo, the iconic character played by Karan Johar, is one of her most-loved characters. She said, “Now when I watch Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, I can say off the lines because I have seen it a hundred times. I was also obsessed with Dhoom 2 (2006) and its song ‘Crazy Kiya Re’. It was like my favourite film.”

Ananya Panday then talked about her love for Karisma Kapoor aka Lolo, Salman Khan and an iconic dialogue of Kareena Kapoor Khan from the cult classic Jab We Met (2007), “I love Preity Zinta and her films Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and Veer-Zaara (2004). She has dimples and was so cute and bubbly. I used to also love Lolo. In fact, I have a picture of Lolo stuck in the mirror in my vanity van. There’s a picture of her, Salman and the dialogue ‘Main apni favourite hoon’ (smiles).”

At one point in the interview, she again referenced Salman Khan while talking about the common factor in her recent outings – Gehraiyaan (2022), Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023), and CTRL (2024) – she goes through heartbreak in all of them. Ananya Panday smiled and joked, “There’s always some cheating or something happening. I am like, ‘Why have I become like this’. Someone was joking about how Salman Khan’s signature is that he takes his shirt off in every film. Now, my signature is that ‘She’s got cheated on’. I don’t want it to be my signature!”

Ananya Panday also raised laughs as she talked about the paps calling her ‘ACP’ which is a short form for Ananya Chunky Panday. She revealed that the name was coined when she attended Umang 2022, a show organized by Mumbai Police.
