EXCLUSIVE: Vikrant Massey in advanced talks to play Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in an international thriller; to be produced by Siddharth Anand, Mahaveer Jain

Nearly a year ago, 12th Fail (2023) was released and it took lead actor Vikrant Massey to another level. And if all goes well, his stardom and boost value will get yet another boost. Bollywood Hungama has learned that he is in advanced talks to play the lead role in an international thriller inspired by an episode from the life of global spiritual leader and humanitarian Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Vikrant Massey is one of the most versatile actors of today’s times and the makers felt that he’ll be ideal to play the main lead. Vikrant, too, was very excited when he was offered the part and was very thankful that he was considered for it. The talks between the actor and the makers are in advanced stages.”

The film in question draws inspiration from the remarkable life of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a global spiritual leader and humanitarian known for his unwavering commitment to peace. It will focus on Gurudev’s successful intervention in Colombia's brutal 52-year civil war, resolving the conflict without resorting to violence.

The source added, “The film will be made in English and Spanish and is meant for for a global audience; it'll dubbed in various international and Indian languages. It focuses on how one of the biggest internal conflicts of the world was resolved by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with the aid ancient Indian wisdom. The supporting cast and crew will mainly comprise acclaimed and Academy award-winning people from Los Angeles, USA and Colombia. Moreover, renowned filmmakers will also be presenting this big-budget, ambitious film in different countries.”

The film is produced by Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain. The source also revealed, “It is written by ace advertising director and writer Montoo Bassi and he'll be aided by international script writers and script doctors. He researched for almost 4 years. Interestingly, Vikrant Massey also met Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar sometime back.” The pictures of their meeting is out on social media.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who also runs one of the largest volunteer-based organisations, Art Of Living, held the World Cultural Festival in Washington DC, USA earlier this year. This historic gathering brought together millions from over 180 countries, showcasing the power of unity and peaceful coexistence. The film serves as a continuation of this message, echoing the Indian philosophy of "One World One Family" and Gurudev's unwavering dedication to non-violence.
