SRK hints about 'tough time' during Aryan Khan's arrest at IIFA 2024 and makes special request to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Shah Rukh Khan, who won the Best Actor award at IIFA 2024 for his stellar performance in Jawan, touched upon the difficult period he faced while filming the movie. During his acceptance speech, he subtly referred to the time of Aryan Khan’s arrest, calling it a “tough time.”

Thanking Gauri Khan with humour Shah Rukh made sure to thank his wife, Gauri Khan, for her support as the producer of Jawan. He humorously quipped, “Somebody reminded me that money needs to be put into a film. So I want to thank Gauri. She may be the only wife who’s spending more on the husband than the other way round.”

Aryan Khan’s arrest and clean chit Aryan Khan, who was arrested in October 2021 following a raid on the Cordelia cruise, spent nearly a month in jail before being released on bail. After a thorough investigation by the NCB's special team, Aryan was given a clean chit in May 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan’s shoutout to Pushpa and request to Sandeep Vanga During his hosting duties at IIFA 2024, Shah Rukh Khan also reached out to Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, saying, “I think all of them were great, but I got an edge because people were happy that I worked after so long.” He added, “We were going through a tough time while making Jawan,” and later requested Sandeep to make a film like Pushpa for him.
