Sky Force actor Akshay Kumar misses out on Bigg Boss 18 segment with Salman Khan; here’s the reason!

Known for his punctuality, Akshay Kumar was expected to feature on the reality show Bigg Boss 18 as a part of the promotions for his upcoming film Sky Force. However, the actor’s absence sparked speculations about the latter leaving the shoot due to the delay in the arrival of host Salman Khan. However, putting an end to these rumours, Kumar recently clarified to the media on the reason behind him leaving the schedule mid-way.

Akshay Kumar reveals he spoke to Salman Khan regarding this situation

While Akki is often appreciated for being on time, Khan is often known for his late arrivals. However, this was not the case, clarified the Khiladi actor, who also insisted that he had to let go off of the shoot due to other commitments. During his interaction with the media, Akshay Kumar addressed these rumours saying, “He was not that late. I had reached, yes. He came a little bit late because he had some personal work. And then we spoke about it, and he told me that he was late about 35 to 40 minutes. But what happened is that I had to leave. So, we spoke about it, and I left. But, Veer was there - so he shot with him.”

While Khan continued with his shoot, Veer Pahariya joined the superstar on stage for a special Sky Force promotional segment.

Based on true events surrounding India’s first airstrike on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965, the film is expected to feature Akshay Kumar in the role of Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja which is a character inspired by O.P. Taneja. It also marks the film debut of Veer Pahariya, essaying T. Vijaya, fictionalization of Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya MVC. Also starring Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in key roles, the film is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur and it is slated to release on January 25.
