SkyForce trailer launch: Akshay Kumar reveals advice to avoid content-driven films, confesses he is "very proud" of Sarfira; confirms 3 releases in 2025
At the SkyForce trailer launch on January 5, Akshay Kumar addressed the mixed reception of his 2024 films, including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Sarfira, and Khel Khel Mein, and revealed that despite setbacks, he remains committed to working hard. He shared how others advised him to scale back on content-driven films, yet he remains passionate about the variety of roles he undertakes. "It’s not the first time this has happened," Akshay said, "it’s happened before, and the best part is to keep working hard. That’s what I tell myself and anyone who talks to me about it."
Akshay Kumar's Advice and Commitment to Content-Driven Films Reflecting on his career, Akshay revealed, “Many people have advised me to do only one film a year, maybe two. But I tell them, if I can work, why shouldn’t I? I’ve built my career this way.” He also recounted how some people had suggested that he stop doing content-driven films. He responded, “Many people have even told me to stop doing such films. But I don’t want to stop. I want to continue working in these kinds of films as well as others.” Despite Sarfira not performing well at the box office, Akshay is proud of the film. “I am very proud that I made Sarfira, though it didn’t work. I still consider it one of my best films.”

Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, SkyForce promises to be a high-octane, action-packed film based on India’s first deadly airstrike. The film, set to release on January 24, 2025, features Akshay Kumar alongside debutant Veer Pahariya, with Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and Sharad Kelkar in key roles. Action choreography by Craig Macrae ensures intense sequences complementing the gripping narrative. Fans can expect an adrenaline-pumping cinematic experience from SkyForce.
Besides SkyForce, Welcome to the Jungle and Housefull 5 are also scheduled to release in 2025.
