Anil Kapoor and wife Sunita Kapoor join Anupam Kher to serve food to Sadhus on his 70th birthday in Haridwar

Anupam Kher marked his 70th birthday in the most heartwarming way by celebrating it spiritually in Haridwar. The veteran actor was joined by his celebrity friends, including Anil Kapoor, his wife Sunita Kapoor, music director MM Keeravani, and Ashoke Pandit for the occasion.

A few videos from Anupam Kher’s trip show him and his friends serving food to the sages. Anupam is seen with a sandalwood tilak on his forehead, dressed in a white kurta pyjama with a stole and a rudraksha necklace. Anil Kapoor is wearing a modern casual shirt, while Sunita Kapoor is dressed in a red suit. The group stands on one side of a table, offering sabzi, poori, kheer, and raita to the sadhus.

Anupam Kher made an offering at the Ashram's Parad Shivling during his visit. Speaking to reporters at the ashram, he shared, “I had spent two days at Swami ji's camp at Prayag during Kumbh. It was a milestone birthday. So I decided to celebrate it here in the Sanatan way. I prayed for good health and success of my yet-to-be released film Tanvi The Great.” Anil Kapoor, who has been friends with Kher for over 40 years, also mentioned that they have worked together in many films.

Shot in Uttarakhand, Tanvi The Great is a film with a meaningful message, Anupam Kher said. He also revealed that he has directed the film himself.

Anupam Kher made his debut in Indian cinema at the age of 28 with Mahesh Bhatt's Saaransh, where he portrayed a 65-year-old grieving father. His remarkable performance as BV Pradhan, a retired schoolteacher dealing with the loss of his son, left both audiences and critics in awe.

On the work front, Anupam Kher was recently seen in Vijay 69, a heartwarming film about a 69-year-old man named Vijay who challenges societal expectations by training for a triathlon. Directed by Akshay Roy, the YRF Entertainment film was released on Netflix on November 8.
