Ayushmann Khurrana drops a glimpse of his 'spooky graveyard' shift for Thama; see pic

Ayushmann Khurrana is burning the midnight oil as he wraps up another schedule of his highly anticipated film, Thama. The upcoming supernatural comedy has generated immense buzz, especially with reports hinting at an exciting crossover within the Maddock Cinematic Universe.

The actor, currently working the ‘graveyard shift,’ took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the dedicated crew working late into the night. Recent updates reveal that a grand set has been erected in Mumbai for Thama, hinting at the film’s ambitious scale. Adding to the excitement, Bhediya star Varun Dhawan is rumored to make a special appearance, paving the way for an epic showdown between his werewolf character and Ayushmann’s vampire. This anticipated crossover is set to take the Maddock supernatural universe in an exhilarating new direction, building on the success of previous horror comedies.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who previously helmed Munjya within the same cinematic universe, Thama marks Ayushmann’s first venture into this supernatural realm. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in a leading role, marking her entry into this horror-comedy space. With a stellar ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the film promises an intriguing mix of humor, thrills, and fantasy elements.

Producer Dinesh Vijan has been steadily expanding this interconnected supernatural world, which began with Stree and later included Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. With Thama, the franchise aims to explore new dimensions of horror and comedy, and the much-anticipated face-off between Bhediya and the vampire is expected to be a major highlight.

As Ayushmann continues to film crucial sequences, fans eagerly await more glimpses from the sets. The film is slated for a grand release in October 2025 during the occasion of Diwali, though an exact date is yet to be finalized.
