Shahid Kapoor supports Operation Sindoor; alters caption leaving fans wondering why

In the wake of the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, several Bollywood and South Indian celebrities have taken to social media to express their support for the Indian Government’s counter-response, titled Operation Sindoor. Among the ones to react was actor Shahid Kapoor, who shared a powerful message that resonated widely before making a subtle yet curious edit.

Shahid initially posted a strong, patriotic message that read, “India doesn’t provoke. But India never forgets. (Indian National Flag emoji) #operationsindoor”. However, shortly after, he edited the post to “IN #operationsindoor.” While the core sentiment remained unchanged, the unexpected revision left many of his fans puzzled. No official clarification has been provided by the actor regarding the change, leading to growing speculation on social media. Despite the edit, Shahid’s post was viewed as a clear expression of solidarity with the Indian Army and was widely shared across platforms.

Many of his industry colleagues have also voiced their support. Kriti Sanon, Shahid’s co-star from the upcoming film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, posted on her Instagram story: “#OperationSindoor Zero tolerance for Terrorism. Salute to our Indian Army and prayers for their safety. #JaiHind #JaiSena.”

Ranveer Singh, Shahid’s Padmaavat co-star, also joined the chorus of support. His post was a visual tribute featuring the Indian flag emoji, a series of crossed swords emojis, and the hashtag #OperationSindoor written in bold red—an aesthetic that reflected both pride and defiance.

The wave of celebrity support comes amid heightened national sentiment following Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched in response to the Pahalgam terror incident. The operation has been hailed by many as a decisive and necessary step by the Indian armed forces, drawing admiration and support from the public and the film industry alike.

From powerful hashtags to emotional tributes, the Indian film fraternity has once again stood united in moments of national crisis. With stars like Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Ranveer Singh leading the way, the industry has sent out a clear message—one of zero tolerance for terrorism and unwavering support for the armed forces.
