From Raj Thackeray to Sachin Tendulkar: Aamir Khan hosts star-studded musical night for Sitaare Zameen Par debutants

With the trailer already striking an emotional chord with audiences, Aamir Khan’s much-anticipated Sitaare Zameen Par — the spiritual sequel to the beloved Taare Zameen Par — is generating plenty of buzz ahead of its June 20, 2025, release. Adding to the growing excitement, Aamir Khan recently hosted a heartfelt musical night at his residence, celebrating the young debutants of the film in the most memorable way possible.

The event turned into a night to remember, not just for the 10 fresh faces who headline the film alongside Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, but for everyone present, as the gathering was graced by unexpected appearances from two iconic figures — Raj Thackeray and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who arrived with wife Anjali Tendulkar. Their surprise presence brought immense joy to the debutants and their families, making the evening truly unforgettable.

Also in attendance were the film’s director R. S. Prasanna, known for his progressive hit Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, and music maestros Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who have composed the soundtrack. Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma also added to the star quotient of the evening. The film features lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and a screenplay written by Divy Nidhi Sharma. Produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit with B. Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka, Sitaare Zameen Par promises to continue the legacy of emotionally rich, socially relevant storytelling.
