Shefali Jariwala passes away: Himanshi Khurana calls Bigg Boss “cursed” in her tribute post for ‘Kaanta Laga’ star

The sudden demise of actress Shefali Jariwala has left fans and the industry in shock. Moments after the news of her passing surfaced online, social media platforms were flooded with tributes and condolences.

Among the first to react was actress Himanshi Khurana, who shared a close bond with Shefali during their stint on Bigg Boss 13. Taking to her social media handle, Himanshi posted a photo of the two together, accompanied by the caption: “Bigg Boss… that place is cursed, I think,” followed by a broken heart emoji. While many sympathized with her grief, a section of users on X (formerly Twitter) criticized the wording of her post, calling it insensitive.

For the unversed, following the news of Shefali’s death, several netizens began drawing parallels to her former boyfriend and fellow Bigg Boss contestant, Sidharth Shukla, who also passed away due to cardiac arrest in 2021. Although authorities have yet to confirm the cause of Shefali’s death, unverified reports suggest she may have died of cardiac arrest as well, prompting a wave of speculation and conspiracy theories online.

Adding to the emotional weight of the situation, Shefali’s last post on X, dated September 2, 2024, was a heartfelt tribute to Sidharth Shukla. The post included a photo of the duo hugging in the Bigg Boss 13 house, with the caption: “Thinking of you today, mere dost.”

According to reports, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. However, doctors reportedly declared her dead upon arrival. Mumbai Police confirmed her passing late Friday night but have not yet disclosed the cause of death.
