Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan alongside Vikrant Massey. With just a week left for the film’s release, her close friend Ananya Panday showed her support by sharing the video of the song Alvida and penning a heartfelt note. The film is scheduled to release on July 11 and will clash at the box office with Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik.
Ananya Panday took to her Instagram Stories to cheer for her best friend, writing, “Love this song !! less than a week to go for AKG in cinemas @shanayakapoor.” Earlier, Sonam Kapoor also showed her support by sharing the film’s trailer on Instagram, writing, “Look at you go, @shanayakapoor02! So proud! #AankhonKiGustaakhiyan in cinemas 11th July.” Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Varun Dhawan, Suhana Khan, and Karan Johar, also extended their best wishes to the debutant on social media.
Earlier, Sonali Bendre also praised Shanaya Kapoor’s performance on social media. Sharing the newly released trailer on Instagram, she wrote, “The trailer looks amazing! Congratulations to @sanndstorm, @vikrantmassey, @shanayakapoor02, and the entire team of #AankhonKiGustaakhiyan." Shanaya later reposted the story, adding a heartfelt thank-you note in response.

It offers a glimpse into their emotional connection, followed by the heartbreak that shapes their journey.
In a previous interview with PTI, Shanaya expressed her feelings about the debut, saying, “It’s a surreal feeling, and it’s overwhelming when you see yourself on YouTube for now." She added, “I’m seeing myself, and I’m putting my music videos on, and I’m constantly seeing how I’m looking and what the audience has been saying, and it’s an overwhelming feeling."
The trailer showcases Vikrant Massey in a fresh romantic avatar, while Shanaya appears confident and poised in her first film role.
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is currently in Rajasthan, where she is filming her upcoming project Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri alongside Kartik Aaryan. Prior to this, the cast and crew were shooting in Europe. Several behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the sets had surfaced online, generating buzz among fans.
