Tejasswi Prakash opens up on financial struggles; says, “I was at a space in my life where earning money was the most important thing”

TV actress Tejasswi Prakash recently reflected on the financial hardships she and her family experienced while growing up. Though acting was never her initial goal, she found her calling in the profession and never lost sight of her values during that journey.

In a discussion on a podcast hosted by Nayandeep Rakshit on YouTube, Tejasswi opened up about a time when “making money was my top priority.” She stated, “I was at a space in my life where earning money was the most important thing. But it was never at a point where I had to see situations 'just to make money'. It has always been ethical. Somehow I got to be an actor which I enjoyed doing. And the money hardship is also solved. But at no point do I take this journey for granted.”

She also delved into the sacrifices made by her parents to ensure her well‑being. Tejasswi shared, “I decided the day that I start working, my mom will stop working. There is no need for her to work because there is house help, but she anyways does everything herself. Dekha jaye toh kami nahi thi but jab bhi hume koi cheez cahiye hoti thi, hume dikhta tha ki ek cheez na hoke hume vo dila rahe hai. There is a sacrifice that has happened and that's why hume kisi cheez ki kami nahi hai, which is not a stage I want to be in life.”

On the work front, Tejasswi is set to feature in the upcoming web series Bewafa Tera Masoom Chehra  .
