“Dhadkan was the perfect mix of classy and massy,” Shilpa candidly revealed. “Dressed in creations by Manish Malhotra and Vikram Phadnis, I was covered up to my neck, no cleavage was showing, yet they still made me look glamorous. The wardrobe was elegant yet modest, but it became a national talking point. The songs were superhits, the clothes were stunning, and the role was so well-received that even after 25 years, people still talk about it. I feel very grateful.”
Released in 2000, Dhadkan became one of Bollywood’s most celebrated romantic dramas. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, the film starred Shilpa Shetty alongside Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, delivering unforgettable performances that blended romance, drama, and timeless music.
