Akshay Kumar opens up on working with all heroines, including his favourite; says, “I've actually worked with almost all heroines, but my favourite is Katrina Kaif”

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, known for his impeccable timing on screen and dedication off it, recently gave fans a peek into his professional world on Aap Ki Adalat. In a candid conversation with host Rajat Sharma, Akshay addressed everything from myths about working with him to his personal favourite among Bollywood heroines.

When asked about who he considered his favourite heroine, Akshay didn’t hesitate. “I've actually worked with almost all heroines, but my favourite heroine is Katrina,” he revealed. The acknowledgment comes after decades of collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, cementing Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar as one of Bollywood’s most enduring on-screen pairs. Their notable hits together include Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng, Blue, and Sooryavanshi, making their chemistry a fan favourite.

The conversation then took a lighter turn when Rajat Sharma mentioned a popular myth, stating, “I heard most of the heroines do not want to work with you because they'd have to wake up early at 5?” Akshay laughed off the notion. “You have heard the wrong thing. It is completely reversed. Ask any heroine; they are so happy to work with me,” he said.

He elaborated, citing Good Newwz as an example and stated, “When I did the movie Good Newwz, Kareena told her husband Saif, ‘Yaar, yeh mazaa aata hai. The first shot is taken at 8 in the morning, and by 11.30 or 12.30, the pack-up takes place. I return home, and I can be with my children. What can be better than this? The early morning traffic is thin, you reach your shoots early, and by afternoon at 2, when there is a pack-up, you have thin traffic. So, you get the whole day free; you can be with your family and friends and do whatever you want.’”

This candid insight not only sheds light on Akshay’s professional approach but also highlights the respect and comfort he maintains with his co-stars. His admiration for Katrina Kaif, combined with his dedication to making sets enjoyable and efficient, reinforces why he remains one of Bollywood’s most beloved actors.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently seen in Jolly LLB 3, which stars him alongside Arshad Warsi. The actor has also reunited with longtime collaborator Saif Ali Khan in Priyadarshan’s newly announced film Haiwaan.

Akshay and Saif have previously worked together in hits like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yeh Dillagi, Aarzoo, Tu Chor Main Sipahi, and Keemat. They were last seen together in the 2008 action-comedy Tashan, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor.
