Karan Aujla teaches bhangra to Jimmy Fallon on the tonight show

Punjabi singer and songwriter Karan Aujla recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he shared a fun cultural moment by teaching the host some basic Bhangra dance steps. The light-hearted clip has been making the rounds on social media, earning praise from fans and putting a spotlight on Punjabi music and culture.

The video, shared on The Tonight Show's official Instagram page, opened with Fallon greeting Aujla with a friendly hug. The singer was seen wearing a traditional black kurta-pyjama paired with a sleeveless jacket. Aujla then introduced the segment by saying, “So I am going to teach you some bhangra today.” Although Fallon initially hesitated and joked, “I am too stiff,” he quickly picked up the rhythm. The two then danced together to Aujla’s latest track, Gabru, from his newly released album.

Fans appreciated the moment, with many commenting on how proud they were to see Punjabi culture featured on such a popular platform. One fan wrote, “Making us all proud! Super excited to watch this episode,” while another commented, “@karanaujla lifting the culture higher every time.” Some viewers even humorously noted Fallon’s effort, with one user saying, “At least he tried, Americans look so funny doing bhangra.”

Aujla has been in the spotlight recently following the release of his third studio album, P-Pop culture, which dropped on August 22, 2025. Created in collaboration with long-time producer Ikky, the 11-track album was launched during a sold-out arena show in Montreal. Aujla described the project as his most personal yet, saying he had “poured every ounce” of himself into the album after two years of dedicated work.

Looking ahead, Karan Aujla is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud India on November 23, 2025. The event will take place at Loud Park in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, and will also feature artists such as Don Toliver, Westside Gunn, and Sambata. From international television appearances to major music festivals, Karan Aujla continues to represent Punjabi music on a global stage.
