Sanjana Sanghi wants to explore North East India, Greece and Portugal; gives a peek into her “ever evolving travel wish list”

Actress Sanjana Sanghi is not just making her mark on screen but also curating experiences across continents that inspire both her craft and her soul. In a candid conversation with Filmfare, she shared her evolving travel wishlist, love for cultural exploration, and the global cities that spark her creativity.

For Sanghi, travel is never static—it’s a constant work in progress. “My travel wish list is ever-evolving but right now, I really want to explore the North East of India more deeply. And internationally, Greece and Portugal are calling my name,” she said. Yet, she is equally keen on spotlighting destinations beyond the obvious. “One destination that I think deserves way more attention? Colombia. It’s affordable, vibrant, full of flavour, be it food, music, or people. It’s a hidden gem for Indian travellers.”

While her heart is set on discovering new horizons, New York continues to be her creative anchor. “New York, for me, is more than just a city. It’s a creative playground. This year alone, I took a couple of short acting and leadership courses while I was here. As an artiste, it fuels me like no other place,” she reflected.

Balancing productivity with leisure, she makes every trip count. “I also work closely with the United Nations, whose headquarters is based here, so I usually end up doing campaign shoots and meetings with them during my visit. It’s the perfect mix of productivity and pleasure. And when I say pleasure, I mean Broadway shows, jazz nights, food crawls and late-night bagel runs.”

Her latest trip was packed with memorable experiences. “This trip, I watched The Great Gatsby on Broadway, what a legendary show! I also spent an evening at the Comedy Cellar in the West Village, which was absolutely hilarious. It’s one of those underground comedy clubs where you don’t know which comic will show up. The surprise element makes it even more exciting.”
