Abhay Deol picks Bobby Deol for “hottest glass nerd” title, reveals his style staples, emotional support outfit, and more!

Abhay Deol has always struck a balance between laid-back charm and effortless style, a quality that was on full display in his recent chat with ELLE India during a shoot for John Jacobs. The actor kept it real while answering rapid-fire questions.

When asked about his go-to look, Deol kept it simple: “I would say jeans and a T-shirt.” Switching between model and actor modes also comes easy to him. “For one, I am ready for the camera to pose for it, and for the other, I just ignore the camera,” he quipped. On his eyewear preferences, Deol leaned toward the timeless: “I would say wayfarers.”

In a heartwarming moment, when asked about the “hottest glass nerd,” Deol didn’t hesitate before naming his cousin. “I wouldn’t call him a nerd, though. For me, would be my brother Bobby Deol,” he said, revealing the fond camaraderie the Deol cousins share. As for his “emotional support outfit”? His John Jacobs sunglasses, of course.

That bond between the Deol brothers was also evident in their latest collaboration — a quirky advertisement for the CRED app that dropped on Sunday. The animated commercial, featuring Bobby and Abhay as talking chickens before morphing into stacks of gold coins, quickly became the talk of social media. Packed with surreal humor and a cheeky nod to their legendary elder brother Sunny Deol, the ad struck a chord with audiences. The punchline arrives when Bobby, baffled by the chaos, asks Abhay, “Kisko phone laga raha hai?” To which Abhay deadpans, “Bhaiya.”

While their playful dynamic continues to entertain, the Deols are also busy carving distinct paths on the work front. Bobby Deol, fresh from the success of The Ba***ds of Bollywood, will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar and Yash Raj Film’s Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. Sunny Deol is gearing up for Border 2 and will embody Lord Hanuman in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan: Part 1. Abhay Deol, meanwhile, is set to appear in Bun Tikki, a poignant family drama co-starring Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, produced by Manish Malhotra. The film premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival earlier this year to warm reception.
