Saiyami Kher on collaborating with Priyadarshan for the first time in Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan's Haiwaan: "It feels surreal"

Actress Saiyami Kher is currently filming in Kochi for her upcoming movie Haiwaan, which stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. Directed by renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan, the project marks an important moment in Saiyami’s career as she works with one of Indian cinema’s most respected directors for the first time.

Speaking about the experience, Saiyami shared, “Working with Priyadarshan sir feels surreal. I grew up watching and admiring his films, so being part of one of his projects now feels very special. I feel lucky to have worked with some of the best directors in the industry—Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Anurag Kashyap, Neeraj Pandey, R. Balki, Rahul Dholakia, and now Priyadarshan sir. Each of them has helped me grow not just as an actor, but as a person.”

She also reflected on the shoot in Kochi, adding, “Filming here has been a wonderful experience. Being on set with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan has been a joy. They bring a great mix of energy, discipline, and camaraderie, which makes the work environment so enjoyable. Projects like this remind me why I fell in love with cinema in the first place.”

Haiwaan is among the most anticipated Bollywood films of the year, combining the talents of two leading actors with the direction of Priyadarshan, known for his expertise in both comedy and drama.
